USS Omaha Submarine Memorial
To honor the service and sacrifice of the crew of USS Omaha (SSN-692) the City of Omaha formed a committee to preserve the legacy of the United States Submarine Force, located in Levi Carter Park, Omaha, Nebraska.

Behind the Build: USS Omaha Sail Installation 🛠️🏗️
Decades of Cold War history forged into one structure, this hardened steel once cut through the depths of the ocean—now, as it stands tall at Levi Carter Park, it’s the work of the hands of many that brought it all together.
Watching this towering silhouette rise takes more than just heavy machinery and very large cranes. Here is a closer look at the expert crew that managed the lower and upper sail installation and the welding of the fairwater planes. ⚓️
